Mechanical Engineer  |  Researcher

I am a graduate researcher in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo, building a nanofabrication system that accelerates the production of next-generation solar cells. Before becoming a graduate researcher, I worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer involved in the total product development of plastic and metal equipment for electronic data transfer devices.

I am a curiosity-driven individual who is passionate about sustainable energy through innovative solutions. With a personal philosophy of constant improvement, I am always challenging myself and seeking meaningful work that creates value, inspiring the next generation and making the world a better place for everyone.

With a strong motivation for learning, I am actively engaged in engineering projects. At university, I co-led the Penn State Wind Energy Club, which competed and won 1st first place at the USA Department of Energy's Collegiate Wind Competition 2015. I also participated in Formula SAE 2015, for which I designed and fabricated the exhaust manifold for my university's race car. Furthermore, I worked as an undergraduate research assistant, studying the clogging phenomena observed in oil and gas extraction.

I find joy in sharing my knowledge through teaching and mentoring. During my free time on the weekends, I used to teach underprivileged primary school children that did not have proper access to formal education due to social inequity back in my home country. Furthermore, I am a personal mentor to a few high
school as well as prospective university students, sharing my knowledge and providing them with the insights I have from personal exposures.
